Using EFT on Gambling Addicts

To help Desperate, Problematic & Compulsive Gamblers

This web page will bring you the awareness that it is possible for us to treat our own gambling addictions.
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique.
It is a new type energy therapy which deals on all aspects of our psychological, emotional & physical problems.
While you would normally need an EFT therapist to treat a client,
EFT can also be applied as a self-treatment by yourself anywhere & at anytime.

The beauty with EFT is that it is very easy & straightforward to apply.
You will learn to tap using your fingers on a few meridian points on your body.
During the tapping process you will also be repeating some phrases to remain focused on the issue.
All of these will only take approx 5 minutes of your time per session.

While EFT may not eliminate your gambling 'cravings' completely,
most have reported the positive effect on themselves within the first one or two sessions.
They experienced a reduce urge to gamble but this result varies between individuals.
Many would need to do a few sessions to completely overcome their addiction.

The free EFT instructional manual is available for download from www.emofree.com
Gary Craig, the founder of EFT has generously made this 'open source' technique available to the public.
And for a nominal cost, you can also purchase his affordable home study video course.
Study the original EFT manual to understand how to do the full tapping procedure.
You will discover how easy it is to perform EFT by viewing this animated Flash demo below:

Once you are familiar with the general EFT procedure....
You may proceed & use EFT along with the following modification statements below.
The new statements are specific & necessary to make our type of treatment more effective.

The words in Red identify the current situation with respect to what is deep inside your mind. They may seem to be quite negative (instead of the usual positive affirmations) but you want to acknowledge the real challenge which are facing you. The Blue words are there to comfort your inner emotion, to allow it to be opened naturally for the EFT treatment.

It is up to you to decide which statements to use. Pick one (or as many as you like!!) from the table. This listing is not exhaustive, so you may also create your own statement which would be even better, preferably in your own localized language. Say it out loud the way you would normally self-talk to yourself & add lots of feelings during the process. Certain words do have stronger impact than others on your own emotion.

I have divided the statements into three groups. You will start by using any of the statements/phrases from the initial phase. If you cannot decide which one to choose from, then you can do each of them sequentially, meaning that there are 9 sessions in total until you reach the end of the final phase statement. Since the EFT method is quite flexible, you are also free to mix any three statements & phrases within one session. As you can see, the possibilities are endless. As long as we get the end result - that's what matters most to you!

Since EFT can successfully treat fear & severe traumas (e.g child abuse, rape victims, etc) until they achieve total emotional freedom then in comparison gambling addicts can also do the same. Your only prerequisite is just a simple intent to do it & EFT will take care of the rest.......

While treating yourself may seem to be the most challenging task, helping another gambler will be less daunting once you can explain to him/her what EFT is all about. So even if you are not a 'problem gambler', you can use this skill to help others who are. In any case, it is much easier to introduce them to this website, then you can guide them to do the EFT together with your own encouragement.

Feel free to post any questions that you have regarding EFT & gambling addictions in Master Yazdani's Forum. I will do my best to help you or anyone else who may need help.
